Overview

Product reviews come only from signed-in shoppers who have ordered the product, and every review waits for the merchant’s approval before it is listed.

Who can review

A shopper can review a product when one of their orders contains it and that order was not cancelled. Others get 422 with only shoppers who have ordered this product can review it. Each shopper has one review per product; submitting again replaces it and sends it back for approval.

Showing reviews

• Get Product returns rating with the average and the number of approved reviews.
• List Reviews returns the approved reviews, newest first, with the same rating summary.
• author_name is the shopper’s first name and last initial, such as Ada O..
• If the merchant has replied, the reply is in reply and the time it was saved in replied_at; both are null otherwise. Show the reply under the review. The merchant replies, edits and removes replies in the Papertracc app.
• When a shopper resubmits a review, the merchant’s earlier reply stays until the merchant changes or removes it.

Review text is plain; markup is removed. A shopper can submit 10 reviews in 15 minutes.
